In the world of aquarium enthusiasts, every equipment upgrade feels like a small adventure. Each ecological adjustment becomes a careful exploration. Together, they form an ongoing dialogue with nature. Today, we’ll share a lively aquarium renovation and wild carp feeding experience. We’ll take you through the entire journey, from unboxing new products to fine-tuning the filtration system. Finally, we’ll enjoy a relaxing fish-feeding moment with the family.
Poposoap Waterfall Device Unboxing: Details and Assembly Record

When I received the Poposoap pond waterfall pump kit, the premium packaging immediately caught my eye. It filled me with anticipation for the equipment inside. After carefully removing the tape, the items inside the box appeared one by one. There was a pipe with accessories. There was also a product labeled “X live crystal clear natural elastic black nail free adhesive,” which seemed to be glue. A net bag was included as well. There was also a device that looked like a water pump. The most eye-catching part is the part that is speculated to be a spillway. Although the camera was a little shaky during the shooting, the exquisite design of the device can still be felt.
The assembly process is carried out outdoors. Following the instructions, we first applied glue to the edges. Then we gradually connected the components, attaching the pipes to the spillway. Finally, the pump body was tightened securely to the pipes. There was a small hiccup during the process. There was limited space to maneuver at the component joints. As a result, we had to rotate the pump to complete the installation. If more adjustment room could be reserved during the design, the operation would be easier. However, this small issue doesn’t stop it from being a multifunctional device. It can work as a landscape waterfall or be placed in a box with filter cotton and media to clean the water. You can even plant aquatic plants in it, adding more possibilities to the aquarium ecosystem. These specifications are suitable for most small and medium-sized aquariums.

After placing the device in the pond, the water flow effect is surprising. In the full open state, the water flow is gentle and stable, forming a beautiful waterfall landscape. The only thing to note is that if you want to use it as a fixed device, you need to drill holes on the edge of the pond to pass the pipe through. Filtration System Modification: the Gains and Losses of Pipe Diameter Adjustment

In aquarium maintenance, water flow efficiency is always a key issue. Previously, in order to reduce pipeline backwash and increase flow, I had adjusted the position of the "Easy Pod". This time, based on suggestions from two enthusiasts, I decided to modify the filtration system pipeline. I replaced the original gray pressure pipe with a reducer that keeps a uniform 3-inch diameter. The goal was to reduce resistance caused by diameter changes. I hoped this would increase the overall water flow.
However, the actual effect is slightly different from expectations. After the modification, the water flow rate seems to decrease instead of increase. The original reducer may increase pressure by narrowing the pipe, producing a stronger outlet jet. After unifying the pipe diameter, the pressure becomes more evenly distributed. As a result, the water flow rate is reduced. Although this change may be subjective, I decided to keep the current modification for now. I will continue to observe it during weekly water changes and filter cleaning. Based on the actual results, I’ll then decide whether to restore the original design.
Wild Carp Feeding Time: Warm Moments of Interaction with Nature

Besides modifying the equipment, feeding wild carp with my family was also a lot of fun.
When I brought my granddaughter to the pond, the huge carp moved at the sound and drew a beautiful arc in the water. The granddaughter carefully put the food into the water, watching the scene of the fish scrambling for food, her eyes were full of surprise. An interesting moment also happened during this time. A duck tried to get close to the fish, though it was unclear whether it wanted to “interact” or steal the food. Meanwhile, the fish were busy competing for bait. The whole scene was full of natural vitality.
Amid the gurgling water and our family’s laughter, this aquarium transformation journey came to an end. The wild carp feeding experience wrapped up at the same time. We started by unpacking and assembling the Poposoap waterfall device. Then we carefully tested and adjusted the filtration system. Finally, we enjoyed feeding the fish up close with nature. Each part reflected the dedication of aquarium enthusiasts to managing their ecological environment. Whether it’s the careful thought put into upgrading equipment. Or the repeated evaluation of water flow during maintenance, every step matters. Sharing these beautiful moments of nature with family makes the experience even more meaningful. We all know an aquarium is more than decoration—it’s a micro-ecosystem that needs careful care.
If you’re also an aquarium enthusiast, you can try similar device modifications. You may discover better optimization solutions through hands-on practice. If you want to enjoy interacting with nature, bring your family to feed wild carp together. The vitality and energy of the moment will surely leave a lasting impression. I look forward to continuing to explore more mysteries of the aquarium world with you in the next sharing.
