326 Teichfilterbox

Just the right size for our small pond pump. Working well to keep the pump clean.

Es muy bonito, pero muy pequeño

It nice that the top locks in place. Unlike the others that just snap. Which keeps from separating.

Does what it states in description

Just put it in our freshly cleaned garden pond. Like others have said, the box is well built, and does not come with instructions. I noticed that it tends to float also, even though I filled it with water to weight it down before starting to fill the pond. All in all though, happy with it so far...needs to run a bit to see if it actually keeps the water cleaner.

Installed about 45 days ago, works great. My pond is 50 gallons with (currently) 2 very large goldfish. We've had a freeze and some heavy rainfall. The pond has stayed clean. I'm just now deciding to clean the filters. Gave it 4 starts because I cannot see where to buy replacement filters.

Well first, there are no instructions included at all. I suppose looking at the product photos is enough, to see which way the filters go in etc. I don't know how powerful the pump has to be to have the filter work properly, it just says "compatible with most water pumps" but not how many GPH that should be or what size pond it is best for etc. I have a small self contained water feature (an old planter) that holds maybe 10 gallons, and I use a small solar fountain pump to keep the water moving, so I added this filter box to help keep the water looking cleaner (I also use bio tabs). Honestly, I haven't noticed any difference in the appearance of the water. However, when I opened it to clean it the water contained in the box was noticeably murkier than the water in the tank, so it must be doing some good. The construction seems good, a strong rigid plastic box with snug latches, no issues there. It's fairly obtrusive and unattractive in such a small tank like I have, I placed a couple of plants and river rocks to help camouflage it. Overall, I'm just not that impressed so far, but it sounds like a lot of other reviewers have had good success with it, and this may just be a case of "it's a good filter for someone, just not me" and my particular tank.

I have a 165 gallon pond, that's about 28" deep at the deepest point. This filter was easy to install, with one exception. The hole for the tubing to go from the interior of the pump to the waterfall is larger than the tubing I have. So in order for the filtration to work, I had to seal off the looseness of the hose with wraps of bicycle tubing and a hose clamp. Having done that, it filters the water into the pump through the dual filter pads instead of through the hole. I have used the bio balls in a prior waterfall system on a much larger pond, and they are great for increasing the biome in the water. You will have to be careful to know how big your pump is, because it may not fit many larger pumps.

This filter (plus the waterful) works brilliantly in our indoor pond and turtle habitat. Bob loves it!🐢 It was easy to get working and it moves a good amount of water, which is helpful when you have a huge turtle tank!

works pretty well as advertised

it works real good the snap on lid is great do not have to worry about opening like others i used and i would but again

This works great with my pond fountain. The filter material is good and keeps my pump clean. I put a piece of brick in it to help sink it faster and keep it upright when I drop it in. This is a great product for my pond maintenence.

Very nice filter box

This is a decent, even good, product if you're careful about what you're getting here. It's basically just a box and some filtration medium. Now with that said, it's a box that's well designed to form. So you need to provide your own water movement whether that's via a waterfall, pump, or just some other flowmaker and plopping this thing into the pond as an idle spongefilter, basically. It's also about 1.25x the size of an avg shoebox. I thought it would be more like 0.75 and was going to put it in my ~10 gal patio pond, but it's def not gonna fit. It would take up most of the basin. So this is definitely for 20+ gallon ponds. The provided hole and sponge is appreciated, I would run a pump in there and feel it would serve quite well.

Super durable pond box!! 2 Filters and filter balls, and 1 sturdy box! Great pond box, came quik and is heavy duty and a good shape! Happy to have it.

I’m using this as a pre-filter on my stock pond for my baby koi and it works great.Very sturdily built and I love that it comes with sponges and bio balls. Lots of ways to catch debris and create a hole for beneficial bacteria. Also very easy to clean and put back together.

I will be installing this in my pond and will update how it works. It seems well made and I would recommend.

This filter box is as described. A note of warning, the bio-balls only occupy about half to 3/4 of the space allotted to them. I added foam filter pads to take up the rest of the space. After all, it can't actually filter if there is no media to actually filter through. I also wish there was a handle of some sort or at least a hole to add a pull string onto. Removing the filter for periodic cleaning is difficult when there's nothing to grip onto and I have to fish around in the bottom of the pond to actually find the filter, when it would be nice to pull it up to the surface by a lead line.

Excellent construction, I had another filter box where the lid would hardly stay closed. This product has an excellent closure system. I am glad I bought it.

Great product for small/medium ponds. Look at the dimensions carefully, to see if the box will fit your pump. It does mine. The lid fits on snugly, and there are four flip latches on the corners. The latches are good and stiff, so you know it won't accidently come apart. The two filters are as described, blue and black with a set of filter balls. I have not yet set up the actual pond this is going in (still digging!) I expect, given the excellent fit and finish of the product, that everything will work out just fine. I've never used bio balls???? in a pond before, but imagine it's similar to biological filters in aquariums. It's a nice touch that the latches on the box lid are blue - easier to see when you're having to clean the filters later. Nice product, fits my pump, seems sturdy and well made.

The algae and other muck clogging my pump to the point that water barely came out of the fountain. I put my pond pump in a mesh bag, but it was still constantly getting clogged up and not working right. This filter box was perfect for what we needed! Assembly was easy and came with everything I needed except the pump itself. It keeps my pond crystal clear working with my pond pump and significantly reduces maintenance time. The build quality feels sturdy, and I expect it to last for years.
